I am starting a public blog called Beyond Allocation. I will be writing blurbs on markets, portfolio construction, current events, and of course, asset allocation. I am also doing this selfishly for my own personal growth. I believe writing and sending it out for people to read will help me grow as an investor and writer.
For clients, this will be a medium that our firm can communicate our ideas and current thoughts on topics that can affect their long-term plan.
I am also doing this for my children. I want them to have a place to go for my thoughts on past and future market events that their father curated over his lifetime as a financial professional.
One thing I learned from reading legendary financial writers, such as Warren Buffet and Howard Marks, is that they take a complex or confusing subject and present it in a way that is easy to understand. Hopefully, in time, I too will have this superpower.
Most of the posts will be short form and shouldn’t take you more than 5 minutes to read.
Your time is too valuable.
My commitment to the readers of this site:
• To be consistent with posting content on a regular basis
• To improve my writing skills and creativity with each post
• To never stop learning and reading about capital markets, portfolio management, and investing
